FAQs

Frequently Asked CakePuck Questions!

How big is the finished Puck?

2” across and 1” high.

How many Pucks will one cake mix recipe make?

18-20 (depends on how much snacking you do)

How long does it take the centers to chill?

Basic cake centers with buttercream take 1-3 hours in the fridge. Refrigerator temps will vary, if your center is breaking when you try to pop it out it is not cold enough OR, if this continues even hours later, you need more frosting in your mixture to bind it.

I like to make my centers ahead of time and keep them in the fridge overnight.

If I am in a hurry or making lots of Pucks I will put the small mold with the centers in the freezer for about 15 minutes, then carefully pop them out and store them in the fridge  until I am ready to dip them.

What if I put in the wrong address?

If we receive an order back as undeliverable, we will cancel your order and refund you the cost of the product(s).  We can not refund the original shipping amount.

How long will my Pucks stay fresh?

On the counter in an airtight container 3 days.

In the fridge in an airtight container for at least a week.

In the freezer for a month. (My kids will eat them after much longer.)

Pucks with perishable ingredients like cream cheese or fresh fruit should always be kept refrigerated. Take them out an hour or so before serving.

Can you freeze the centers to dip later?

Yes! Make sure you keep them wrapped well or in an airtight container and they will be good in the freezer for weeks.

My best advice is to not dip frozen centers directly in the chocolate or the pucks can crack. If you are working with frozen centers, let them thaw in the fridge or

let them sit on the counter for 10 minutes before dipping them.

Can you freeze the finished Pucks?

Yes! Wrapped in an airtight container I have frozen them for a month and they thaw out beautifully. There will be some condensation on the Pucks which will dry but make sure you allow time for that. Any decorations that should not get damp should be applied after the thawing process.

Are the Molds dishwasher safe?

Yes!

Are they oven safe?

They have not been heat tested so I will let you know once I try them out 😊

Where is my order?

We use USPS and UPS to ship our Cake Puck molds.  Each shipment has a tracking number and is insured against loss.  Similar to when you mail a letter or package, once we drop off the package at UPS or USPS, we no longer have any access to information about the delivery other than what is provided by the tracking number.  Neither USPS nor UPS provide any additional information to the shipper.  The tracking number information is the best information available for where your package is and when it will be delivered.  If you didn't get a tracking number, email us with your Order Number and we can provide that to you.
