Homemade Pound Cake

This comes together so fast and it's nice to have a good pound cake recipe on hand!

1 1/2 cups soft butter (if it's cold just whip it in your mixer until its creamy)

2 1/2 cups granulated sugar

5 eggs 

1 TBL Vanilla extract

2 tsp lemon extract, or the juice of half a lemon

3 cups all purpose flour

1 small can or about 1 cup sprite or 7up soda

Directions:

Blend the sugar and butter until creamy then add the eggs one at a time.

Add your extracts (lemon juice) and then 2 cups of the flour. Mix in the soda then add the last cup of flour.

I baked it in a 9x13 for about 25 minutes or until slightly golden on top.

Cool it completely and then use it in your trifle or in your trifle cake pucks!
